Kangojodi in Sirmour District: This is a 7 km long pine forest which is a serenest place one can think of. People mainly come here to spend some camp nights. If you are thinking of a very luxurious stay and a smooth holiday then this place is not really for you. But if you give these petty comforts what you get in return cannot be bought with money. The lush green pine forests with some rare species of flora and fauna come with a natural flowing water stream. The air is absolutely pollution free and if you are seeking solitude in name of holiday. A perfect run away in weekends. One has to drive a distance of 275 km from Delhi to reach here.
Tirthan Valley in Kullu District: Located in Himachal Pradesh this is a beautiful hill station to be visited at least once in life. If you think of a long weekend which will include friends, bonfires at nights and quiet home stays then this can be your next travel destination. One can also go fishing in the river which flows nearby. The best time to visit this place is from March to September because in winter the temperature goes below freezing point.
Chakradhar in Sirmour District: This is a beautiful valley which one can visit from April to October as that is the time when this valley is open. This place is a 400 km ride from Delhi and a perfect place for quiet holidays. One can also reach Shimla and then take a drive to this place as the distance is only 90 km. This is a total campsite spot where one can spend nights by seeing the star-studded sky. If you have a long weekend, then go for it.
